DR MATTHEW PAYNE – BSc (HONS); PhD


Dr Payne graduated from James Cook University (2002) with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology/Aquaculture and subsequently completed his PhD (2007) in molecular microbiology at the University of Queensland. He has held post-doctoral positions at Kings College London, United Kingdom; La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia and currently works as a Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. He has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles in high-quality, international journals and has been the recipient of over $1,000,000 in competitive research grant funding as a chief investigator.
